And this is San Gimignano, an image of sunny history in the morning, a poem of tender lights at night.

Picture this: Awakening to the song of birds, with perhaps a rooster crowing in the distance, and planning your day while sitting on the terrace, sipping freshly brewed coffee and looking out across the valley towards San Gimignano's towers...

Or this: Returning from a day spent exploring Florence or the Colline del Chianti, and playing a game of bocce, the Italian version of lawn bowls, as the sun sets and the hollows darken... The coals of the grill glow redly, awaiting a steak, or, if you'd rather, the pizza oven is heating under the pine grove, as the moon rises over San Gimignano's towers.

Or this: A day of utter relaxation, swimming in the pool, walking among the rows of vines that produce a memorable Vernaccia, or reading a good book in the garden.

It's all possible at La Fidanza, the agritourism facility we have created at Il Poderino, a meticulously restored farm complex surrounded by vineyards and olive groves just a few kilometers from San Gimignano. It's a half-hour's drive from Florence or Siena, and offers a number of options for guests:

Our Accommodations:
  • Two apartments, for six people.
  • One partment for three people.
  • Three double-bed rooms with sofa beds.
  • Two single bedrooms.
We provide:
  • Bathrooms and TV in every room
  • Breakfast
  • Clean sheets weekly
  • Clean towels daily

  • Lawn bowls
  • Walks in the vineyards
  • Hammocks in the pine grove
  • Ping Pong, foosball, or badmitton.
Price: For a minimum of 2 nights, 45 Euros per person per night, half price for children under 15.
Upon Request: (costs to be agreed upon): breakfast served on the terrace, brunches, sandwiches, beverages, and dinners. For groups and seminars we can also provide catering.

Inside:
  • Catch up on your reading or chat with friends.
  • Weigh plans and make decisions in a stress-free setting

Outside:
  • Swim in the pool.
  • Relax in the sun.
  • Take a walk in the vineyards.

Elsewhere:
  • Cycling.
  • Horse riding in nearby stables.
  • An 18 hole golf course is 20 minutes by car.
  • Boating in Versilia or Punta Ala, at a little more than an hour's drive.
  • When visiting Florence, don't forget to reserve tickets for the Uffizi.
